You're here because you want a photographer who has your back and truly understands you. A photographer who will help make your day stress-free and everything you imagine.
I'm here for all of that and more.
A photographer who is knowledgeable and has seen it all. From having an eye for the smallest details to talking out the perfect timeline to discussing benefits of events like a first look and grand exit. A photographer who not only captures all the beautiful moments of your love story but is experienced and truly understands you.
And I'm your photographer. I’m a hopeless romantic, a true old soul. Lover of all things vintage and outdoors. A spontaneous adventurer who is always transfixed by the mountains. I can recite just about every line of Gilmore Girls and song lyrics take up way too much space in my brain.
I have tattoos, a collection of vinyl, and an absurdly eclectic taste in music (no, really, check my Spotify). I’m an animal lover always. A hiker and a runner. I will never say no to a hike (don’t care how out-of-breath steep it is) or a long run in the pouring rain.
I absolutely love weddings and truly getting to know my couples, I go with the flow, and I’m super laid back.
"She was just amazing throughout the entire experience!"
"Alysa is an amazing photographer! She was so calm and easy going!"
Let's schedule a consultation today to talk over all the beautiful details you envision for your wedding.
I'm SO excited to talk with you!
1. Should I do a grand exit? YES! The photos for a grand exit are some of my favorites because they always turn out so well. They're just SO much fun. My advice for your grand exit? Stage it. People will leave before the end of the night and you want your grand exit to include as many of your guests as you can. So stage it earlier in the night, I usually recommend a little after your cake cutting. Bubbles and sparklers are some of my favorites for grand exits.
2. If you're stuck on timeline issues, ask your photographer for their input. Your photographer is an expert on all things weddings. They've seen it all and have worked with so many wedding timelines. So if you're stuck on something, definitely ask your photographer for any advice!
3. First looks. They're not for everyone but if you're on the fence about it, definitely do it. It will allow for a very special and intimate time for you to see yourselves alone and take in this moment without distractions. First looks also have the huge benefit of getting family portraits and wedding party photos done prior to the ceremony when everyone's clothing, makeup, and hair is still fresh. Everyone is usually done and ready to celebrate after the ceremony so waiting to take family and wedding party photos after the ceremony can be more stressful. Two more added bonuses? You can opt to take couple's portraits directly after the ceremony and take a breather for yourselves and then head on down to actually enjoy your cocktail hour.
