Laughter was everywhere, you could truly feel the joy and genuine happiness all around. And between the cotton candy and popcorn machines, the inflatable basketball hoops, the bungee run, and the amazing barbecue food truck, Eleanore & Sam’s two day Virginia wedding was simply perfect.
Yep, you read that right. Eleanore & Sam had it ALL at their wedding reception. The vibe was fun, fall festival to celebrate their vows they shared at their intimate wedding just the day before. They had the most amazing two day wedding and here’s how they planned it out…
Eleanore & Sam chose to have a really beautiful and intimate wedding right at their own home in Southwest Virginia. Before their ceremony, they took time to get ready with the help of their friends and family. Eleanore had turned one of their bedrooms into a stunning, sunlit bridal suite while Sam got ready downstairs with his family. It was so relaxed, there was a calmness and comfort from being in their own home as they prepared to share their vows to each other.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by a selection of drinks and a spacious area in Eleanore & Sam’s yard that was glowing from the golden sunlight. Eleanore & Sam had placed lawn games out for their guests to enjoy as they waited for the ceremony to begin which was such a fun touch. In their very own backyard, Eleanore & Sam had the most charming arbor with beautiful chairs lined with flower petals, pumpkins, and mums for their guests.
Eleanore & Sam’s ceremony was so sweet and very unique to them. They chose not to have a wedding party which made their ceremony very simple and just that more intimate for them. One of the most beautiful parts of their ceremony was when they exchanged their personal, handwritten vows while holding an Oathing Stone to honor Sam’s Scottish roots. It was a magical moment.
After their ceremony, Eleanore & Sam took advantage of the stunning golden light shining through the trees in their backyard to take some portraits and they turned out absolutely STUNNING.
When we were done with their portraits, we walked back to their home where all of their guests were enjoying light appetizers and drinks. Eleanore & Sam planned for a small celebration right there at their very own home. You could feel the happiness and warmth looking all around. Everyone was having such a great time. It was simply wonderful experience to wander around capturing all the special moments between them and the friends and family that were there to support their love.
The next day, Eleanore & Sam planned a much larger reception right in the center of their town. Starting out, guests were greeted with so many fun options. They had inflatable basketball hoops, a bungee run, cornhole, cotton candy machines, popcorn machines, a mobile bar, a barbecue truck, AND a live band. When I tell you it was such a good time, it was SUCH a good time. And you could really, truly feel that. Everyone was having an amazing time.
After guests were greeted and had a chance to wander around, Eleanore & Sam had their first dance with all of their friends and family surrounding them.
After their first dance, everyone had so much fun in the fading golden light. Enjoying popcorn, laughing with cotton candy, grabbing some barbecue, getting drinks from the bar, dancing to the live music, the whole reception was the most amazing time. Once the light had faded, it was a party on the dance floor for the rest of the night!
That’s right! To finish off one of the best wedding parties ever, Eleanore & Sam planned fireworks to end the night. How amazing is that??
